Default Might as well have lit $100 on fire !

Just pissed away $90 registering three sleds with the state..........

The sting in the behind might not feel so bad if I knew it was actually going towards something useful.

yeah, just got my renewal too, along with the truck.

Last years new "fees" on the truck license pissed me off big time. Went from $180 up to $250 and again $250 for this year. The "ownership tax" on that thing is rediculous, they base it off the value of the truck when it was brand new and the thing is 5 years old and 76K miles on it, no way in hell I could get the $27K that they have it valued at out of it.

That ain't too bad. If you were in Utah it woulda been closer to 500 bux! They go on age, sled model and year. The guy I was renting from paid 180 for his 2008 XP and he's handicapped.

The truck registration is stupid high though. But if those amendments pass, registration will be 10 bucks across the board, whether it be a 2012 Superduty or a 1973 F250.

OH, and you can write those fees off when you do your taxes.

If 60,61, 101 pass your right. But registration fees will be the least of our problems.

The cuts to local goverment will be scary, Police, Fire, Etc. In some cases a 40% cut in staff I guess its all good not to pay for these things unless you need them

I am not trying say we dont need tax reform, but these amendments take it way too far. The part that pissed me off is how Ritter snuck these "Fee's" in and subverted the Tabor Amendment which required voters approval.

unlees you need them??? piss on them, police have turned into nothing but revenue generaters! it's not about fighting crime it's about writing tickets! ask the next cop you see what Q.T.C. is. firemen are so overworked and underpaid it's stupid. they work what 10 to 15 days a month? i'm sick of payin fees for this and fees for that it has to stop somewhere, sometime! why not now? and $10 registration would be quite a relief compaired to the $198 FEE to register my 10 year old truck

by the way.... how many bridges have you seen repaired since ritter enacted the FEE increases to repair all the "unsafe" bridges and roads???? every road construction site ive seen has a sign that obamas economic recovery act is paying for it. just sayin

Amen brother! Piss on em all! Allthough 30.00/ sled isn't that bad. I fully agree that there is too much money going to the Govn't and not enough if any really getting back to the public. Especially in Co.

But think of all the good things that are being done with that money, see the list below:

1. Notta
2. nothing
3. Not chit
4. a bonus for some jerk off
5. wilderness area (worthless)
6. no snowobiling signs (again worthless)

Well said. I hate to see the schools under the gun on this one but I hate seeing the money we pay go elsewhere also. I do believe that County and Municipal law enforcement don't benefit too much from State funds but more local fees, taxes and funds. Correct me if I am wrong. Personally, I would be HAPPY to see State Patrol staff cut by a third. These guys all have chips on their shoulders and do what the local cops call "Taillight Chasing". Generate revenue and that was told to me by an actual Trooper. They are required by the head of CSP to make 6-10 "contacts" an hour. An hour!!!! I'd bet you that most of those tickets are for a measly 5mph over. Who drives exactly 65mph? Nobody! So yes, HotRod, you are dead on. Is CDOT repairing the roads! Fawk no! They spend that money on stupi crap like chipseal. ARGH!

I'm still studying those amendments, I don't know which way I'm gonna vote.
