Default Retro fitting a Yamaha Nytro seat onto a 1M

ATM is thinking of putting this Skinz Lightweight Nytro seat onto his 1M does anyone have any ideas on fabbing up supports to mount this seat? Here are some pics of the seat on the tunnel:

So the front mounts sit off the tunnel and the rears are fine? It that's the case I would just cut the front tube off and buy some tube stock that's the same size and make them the correct length.

As for mounting it to the tunnel I would make copies of the plates on the bottom of the posts and use them for backing plates on the inside of the tunnel and then bolt it down.

I think I would use some thin wall aluminum box tube and run it crossways and then bolt though it. That would shim it up and give a lot of weight support. I would be a little afraid of denting down the middle of the tunnel.

Thanks for the responses, I'm still trying to figure out how to fab up a bracket to support the front of the seat at the tank. Kind of thinking of some flat bent to match up to the tabs coming down from the seat frame and the bolting them together and to the tunnel.

You may get cracking if you mount the seat on the flat part of the tunnel. If you were to mount it to the transition from top to side it would be much stronger. Cut and weld my friend, behind every good welder is a great grinder!
