A Cool new product that Skinz has out is the Power Pull Extractor/Tow Strap. As the user guide below explains it offers lots of versatility and 2500 lbs. of pulling force to get you out of most any circumstance.
The difference between a power pull and a snowbunje are: - power pull can be used to tow sleds snowbunje can't - power pull can use up to 2500lbs of pulling force, the snow bunje sits at 1500lbs - the power pull fits into a compact bag that can easily be stored on a sled or in a back pack - the power pull comes complete with all the accessories you need for various applications without having to buy different handles, straps or clips Plus with the power pull when I pull hubby's sled out to the parking lot he should suffer with alot less whiplash!!!! LOL

ok, stupid question, not to be an ass, just curious.
Is there anything that would keep the towed sled from over running the towing sled?

I can see the advantage to the extraction part, but I don't Think I would use it for towing.
I use the snowbungee towing system. Reason. You don't need a rider on the towed sled. The towed sled is secured to the towing sled. This does 3 things. One, you don't have to worry about the towed sled over running the tow sled. two, you don't have to have the extra weight and drag of the person on the towed sled. The towing sled is having to work hard enough as it is. three, if you are pulling a sled out of the back country it is a HUGE help to have the towed sled track exactly where you just were. You don't have to worry about getting your signals crossed between the 2 sleds. When you are blasting thru the snow trying to get a good head of steam up to make a ridge, you need to know the sled you are towing is EXACTLY where you need it.

Hey Ollie, I think its more a case of personal preference. In our case, we both usually have kids riding with us, so pulling out the down sled without a rider is not a option for us. Besides Ms. Swimmers Nytro has more than enough torque to pull my azz around all day.
Once the belt is pulled my 1M it rolls along quite easily. In most cases when we come to a big hill we'll just disconnect and let the sled free wheel down so you do not have the issue of running into each other. I've also seen circumstances where it takes two sleds to pull a downed sled up some hills. But in retrospect though it would have probably been easier to just eat the bill and get a chopper to bring the dead sled out.
