This summer I rebuilt the motor in my 04 800 rev (new top end, replaced inner crank seals, and repacked crank bearings). I put it all back together and found it had no spark. But, if i pull it over backwards (by wrapping a strap around the clutch) it had good spark. I pulled the flywheel and stator out and everything looked good. The ignition triggers are in the correct order. I decided to swap the ignition triggers and it had spark when pulled over forward. I put it back together and it would fire a few times but the timing was off. Now i put the triggers back to the correct position and i don't know what else to try. I checked the resistance on the triggers and they had 230ohms each, which is suppose to be good. I don't know if it is possible for the crank to be 180 degrees out of timing or a bad trigger. Can any one help?

Check your connectors and wire terminals really well also. I know everyone says that, but it really does happen to be the problem more often than you would think.

I've checked all the connections multiple times. I tested the stator and it was good. I've got it pretty much narrowed down to the triggers or the MPEM. Any one else have any suggestions before I try to get a new set of triggers
