Anybody got a 900 motor

I'm thinking about buying a sled with a blown 900, I figure it might be cheaper to just buy a whole motor than to try and figure out what went south with this one. The guy selling didn't even know there was a chaincase on the sled so I can't really rely on what I'm being told.
