Is anyone running this chain ? I went to the dealer to get a replacement chain and this is what they gave me. Parts man said quality is better then oem , but by comparing the two the team has more pin movement then my stocker with 1500 boosted miles. Any thoughts or opinions on the team chain would be much appreciated. It is made by Borgewarner.

I've ran a team chain when I boosted my sled (I changed the gearing and needed a different chain). I put over 700 boosted miles on it last year and no problems. I changed my gearing back to stock and put a team chain on again. lots of people I talk to run the team chain on there Yamahas. Most guys change them every year or two, and haven't had any problems. My thinking is, I'm going to change my chain every 1000 to 1500 miles, and if the team chains last that long, and they are cheaper, I will use them.
As for you the extra play you are mentioning, I know on page 4-20 in the nytro service manual you can measure 14 links (it shows 15 links in the picture) and the max length is supposed to be less than 5.25". Not sure of this helps. Cheers, |

koby thanks for the input. I compared the two chains again and found the team one to be better built . It has a row of double plates on each end 1 row in.

I know the Yamaha options for chains are 68 and 70 links. How about the Team chains?
