Default $6 gauge "cage"

Took the oem clamping ring, fliped it around to the outside and secured with a piece of 1/8" aluminum flat stock and a couple 3" 8/32 machine screws. A couple more pieces of flat stock bent at 45 degrees for the mounting the gauge. Pretty solid and no vibration. All total $6.95 in material and about a half hour in the shop. Going to throw a piece of pet screen in there and call it done.

Thats a great idea, thanks for posting. Somebody should send this to Arctic Cat, who would build a mountian sled with a guage that you can't see when you are standing up? I will be adding this mod to my long list of to-do's before the snow getts deep.
