Anti-Snowmobilers Hosting Meeting to Shut Us Down

Man, there's a lot of stuff coming out right now.

As far as Idaho goes, heres your chance to show up to a public greenie meeting, and hear how what Obama has in store for us snowmobilers.

Anyone who can, should go, pack the fracking room. And, ask good "pointed" questions.

BTW, WinterWildlands, is "THE" ANTI-SNOWMOBILE group. They will do anything to shut snowmobiling down, and their based here in Boise.

Idaho BLM to Participate in America's Great Outdoor Listening Session:
Idaho BLM Outdoor Recreation Planner Terry Heslin has accepted an
invitation to join leaders from the recreation community as a participant
in an America's Great Outdoor Listening event on how to best protect our
outdoor heritage. The informal social event, hosted by Winter Wildlands
Alliance and the Outdoor Alliance, will be held at the Falcon Tavern in
Boise on July 22 at 5: 30 p.m. The America's Great Outdoors initiative was
established in April by President Obama in order to develop a conservation
and recreation agenda that will reconnect Americans with our great
outdoors. Events are being organized across the nation this summer. Some
events are officially held by the Administration, while others, like the
Boise event, are hosted by groups such as the Outdoor Alliance and Winter
Wildlands Alliance to gather input from members and constituents. The
event provides an opportunity for direct input from the local recreating

How does one get a sponsored event such as theirs??? Would it be possible for say SAWS to host an event under the same initiative???

Be about 8 hours, but may be worth the trip. I just love pickin-on these whacko's, and in a tavern no less.

Yha, I don't think I'd drive 8 hours for it.

WinterWildlands is a big organization. 13 full time employees, and another dozen volunteers, with a building, staff, college internships, government grants, and pay, and dozens of affiliates such as The Sierra Club. BRC, or one of the state snowmobile associations, might be big enough to sponsor such an event, but SAWS isn't and where would it be at? SAWS only has one or two people in each state. I guess different groups need to start inviting speakers.

There's going to be lots of these meetings, I know one is going to be in Seattle.

Everyone needs to read up on this ****, Obama is going to spring it on you as justification of his socialist plans.

Actually my drive is just over 16 hours it says on google maps, just over 100 miles.



I hate that living out here in the flats I don't hear much about the stuff that happens back where we ride, our media does not cover any of it because of the distance it is, my best source is from people out West and on forums like this.

Just trying to spark some ideas, what about a hosted meeting by a couple of the different groups?? Could maybe one of these meetings be held in conjunction with maybe a sled show?
