Default anyone done the 800 mono-block conv yet?

Picking up a 2010 this friday.
Factory mod on race gas with some sneaky Bikeman stuff done to it.

I've ridden it already and while it's pretty nasty (on race gas) I'm not going to be willing to feed it race gas all season.

So planning to do the 800 mono-block swap over the summer. Anyone else dont it yet and have any setup tips?
What's the best way to go on the pipe?

I thought you HERD they mono conversion didnt put out as much ponies? HaHa!
Well I got some time on it and I will say I am very happy with everything. Probly gonna sell my shorty now since I do not see myself hoping off the 800 anytime soon.

Ohh yeh, most that BM stuff you got is not good for much more than the bling factor!

I read that some were saying that because of the smaller case volume they didn't put out the power that the VES's did.
Though for the lighter weight, and not having the plague of teh 800 VES cranks, it's fine with me.

As far as the Bikeman stuff, the only bling is the shiny head. All the rest is in the inside and it runs well.
No matter though, it's getting swapped anyway.

What motor is this conversion for? Will it work for the 600 ho?

Only for the newer 600r mono-block's. They are the same stroke as the 800 CFI's, so you can bolt on the 800 top end.

Huh, never herd of that one before. Where did you read this? This 800 mono has been dyno'ed @ 167 hp on pump gas and a single modified stock pipe. I personally think there pipe selection held ther #'s back. I also think that dyno was a lil generous. I have had my share of time on the 800 ves and I will say this mono conversion is stronger in every way.
Hell look at this crank!

I found a great deal on a BMP head. So I am running there billet head over the stock one. If it wasnt cheaper I woulda went to the stock.
After seeing some of BMP work, and performance I will not spend a dime on there IQR goodies.
Hell did you see Thackers sled!?!?!?

I just bought one of Thackers 2010's... Their consumer grade stuff seems to have gone way down hill, but their race team stuff seems ok to me?
I rode the sled before buying it and it ripped pretty hard.

Anything specific I should be looking for on it?

Man you change your mind on sleds as often as the wind changes!!!!!
So no new Polaris Assault now?
Well my personal opinion of BMP is an opinion and thats it! They offer a 800 mono kit and they charge way to much for it. You can ship your pipe to them and they will modify it for you. I have seen there work here and I was VERY displeased. Thank god I didnt decide to go this route!
Did you watch his BMP hopped up sled in " Knock Out" @ X? That thing couldnt barly make the gap! Love how BMP is all plastered over that IQR and then it couldnt keep up with a stocker!

I am sure you will love the 2010! What a difference there is between your 06 and these new ones. You will love it!

Ya I hear about changing my mind.
I got cold feet on the Assault at the last minute after the 143 HP, and Rush/IronDog bulkhead rumors...
Figured for that kind of $ I'd be best off to let the masses R&D them for a season.
It was already going to be really hard to make the jump from the most reliable 800 (Cat) to Polaris, knowing that they'd had the most problem plagued 800 available recently. I couldn't take that combined with the possibility of bulkhead durability issues too.
Dealt with 2 broken Cat bulkheads this season already.

The 2010 I just bought from Paul is the one he used in Knock-out!
He said the reeds were toasted on it (don't know if that was an issue at X), but it rips hard with them replaced.
Also that lame slippery mat thing they had to take off on didn't give anyone any traction.
I think Levi was the only one go get much speed up on his runs?

After riding the 06 that I just bought I'm pretty much hooked on the IQR's I think. Going to take something really amazing to get me off them now.
