Talking The Rebuild Begins

Well the new bulk head/tunnel showed up today so the build begins. stripped most of the damaged crap off the old chassis, will pull the motor this weekend and install a fresh top end. then time for the FTX drop n roll! and Better boards and better bars, then time for powder coat, and re-assembly with the timbersled front and rear suspensions and new ice age rails, going to top it off with a new FTX carbon fiber iqr/raw hybrid hood wrapped in one of Jordan's new designs for 2011, and lots and lots of XXX MOD ROD VENTS. will post progress pics over the next couple months.

Looks like you need a motor plate from curt if you keep breaking motor straps, and will help with crank/case longevity

okay... its been awhile but the build is starting to take shape. Got the better boards installed last week and all the parts and pieces are being powdercoated now and should be done by the first part of next week! Put a fresh top end in today and cleaned up the motor. here a few more pics

used a plasma cutter and a 3" cut off wheel, made for quick work of the running boards

Was suprised to see how good the pistons looked. right around 1700-1800 miles on this top end at 10-12lbs of boost with half of a day at 19lbs of boost

this proves that the polaris dual ring pistons have no problem holding up to boost, there were many doubters at the beginning of last season
