I have smoked them a couple of times.

I used a salt/brown sugar brine. and used whiskey for most or the water mix.

Let the oysters [after rinse] dry. then soak them in the brine for 4-5 hours.

pull em out let them dry again till they get a glaze to em. then smoke em cold for about 3 hours. and enjoy!!
