My 2010 M8 sheet says 466lbs.
Looking at this thing there's still more weight to be taken out. I removed the hood foam, and bogies. If a Mountain fit hood went on that would easily save a few lbs (stock hood is heavy) A new hood would mean a intake kit. New exhaust can at least. The rear skid doesn't give much else for improvement weight wise, and either does the seat. I do see guys making lighter steering posts for them. When I built my 01 Mtn Cat there was a pile of weight I took out of it! It needed it tho, thing was a tank. After all that was done to my 01 it's still my favorite sled to ride, turns on a dime and so easy to toss around. I'm really looking forward to working with the M8 just too see how light it will get. I'm thinking easily 410lbs dry for my M8 when I'm done, with out Carbon Fiber... we'll see.

if you put a boss seat on you will save about 5 pounds, the stock seat is a lot heavier than most people think

The stock seat is a sponge, a boss seat will be 25lbs lighter at the end of the ride

The 2010 seat really isn't that heavy, never weighed it when it was off tho.

the new seat is still about 10lbs, boss is 5lbs. try a c3 powersports carbon fibre chassis, hood, side panels, and rails. sickly light. just did carbon hood on my m1000 and saved about 20lbs just there.(already had sno pro air box due to deer jumping on old hood)
