Oh man! My brother in law started on one of these (bit older than I). I remember him hitting a tree once, had to ride it back on one ski. Simply an amazing history on these old machines. Ya know, it wasn't "that long ago"!

Thanks Bushman....

Bushman, my girlfriend just picked up a 1973 292b she is riding a 2010 e-tec but wants to do some vintage racing with her girlfriends. it needs some tender loving care but we had it running yesterday! I was told they made a pipe kit that gave it 5 more hp would you know anything about that? I am also trying to find a vintage suit and helmet.
Thanks

doo lover,
Get a pipe from a comparable size motorcycle and alter to fit. Experiment with length of the stinger on the pipe for torque curve.

Shorten piston skirt on intake side, go just a little to start. Then notch the top of the piston on the exhaust side about the same amount.

If you want to go all out remove crankshaft and plug crankshaft holes with cork and use epoxy to seal the cork in.

Thats how we did it back in the day!

Yo doo lover...no mods or she can't ride in the chick class, "stock only"! I'm watching you and since it's in my shop I may do a few "mods" to it myself just to slow it down haha!

On another note, we had the same sled as kids and also tore a ski off lol!

That sled could be a twin to one my old man has now. He restored the whole thing. It is a fun little sled!
