Default M-series intake vents

Looking for pics or info on putting in additional intake (stock) vents up high on the hood on either side of the cluster. My side vents get clogged on deep powder & bog my sled till I clear them. Looking to add a pair of them directly into the intake box under the hood.

get 2 slp 2.5 flow rites and mount them under your air box in between your a-arms. and then just drill holes into your belly pan box. then your motor will always get cold air.

Which sled?

if you want to get rid of intake bog, a cheap solution that also loses weight is adding a bdx ($169) or timberjunk($269) intake. Either one of them will keep you from just getting air from those intake besels & allow much more surface area for you to pull from.

On the 7 & 8 it is a slight power loss, but the 7 or 8 lbs weight loss may be worth it to you.

If you want to keep it more stock, you could also add bullits or flow rites to the plenum to pull some air from underhood, this would be cheaper, but no weight loss.

I gotta ask, how long is your sled and how long is the truck box? I have a 800 cf 136 and a Ridgeline and was wondering if I should chance hauling it in the short box. Any comments.

I ended up getting 2 upper (either side of cluster) hood vents & adding 2 more 3" bullseye round double mesh vents from XXX Mod Rods. I put the 2 round ones on the stock intake under the hood facing downward towards the motor. Even though I have yet to get into any over the hood powder, they seem to function just fine.

If you put two round vents either side of the cluster, open up into the intake plenum right behind that (I screened those also to keep anything out), and then tape off under the headlight area to isolate it from engine heat, you add two more areas to pull in cold air. Works pretty good, here in AK.

Another option is to just take the stock intake vents out and slap on the frogskinz vents that they make. got mine at the local cat dealer. since they are just a sticker the whole surface becomes flat and snow doesnt get built up.
