I live in Cedar Falls, just outside of Menomonie. I grew up in Menomonie and trail goes through my parent's farm so I ride Menomonie, Weston, Downsville, Durand, Eau Galle quite a bit. Finally made my first trip out west last year. Went with some friends from Menomonie and River Falls out to West Yellowstone. One of the guys from RF (snowgov on here) has been going out there for about 10 years or so. Riding was awesome...the 7 days we were out there it was only cloudy on the last day. It made for some great sight seeing and fun trail riding...but the deep snow was almost non existent. They were really low on snow in Mid Jan when we went out. They had about 3' compared to the usual 8'+ and it hadn't snowed in a few weeks so everything we could find was pretty packed down/tracked up.

We also have some friends up in Hurley, so we make a couple trips up there to ride the UP too. Even made a trip up to Houghton once last year...buddies little sister plays hockey at UWRF and she had a double header at Mich Tech one weekend so we loaded the sleds and went up for some sledding and hockey!

I'm also in the process of building an ovals sled right now...so that should make for a fun winter! I've wrenched on them for a few years now but never raced.

Last winter, most of my miles were around the lakes in Barron County, with a couple hundred miles in Chippewa County. This year, I will be riding the Ironwood/Wakefield/Bergland areas, with some trailering to the Cornell/Holcombe area every once in a while, if there's ever any snow down there. It should be a little more interesting this year. I can't wait!

We ride around Eagle River sometimes, but for the most part in da U.P. The Porqupine mountaions, or around Twin Lakes. Would like to get north of the bridge more, but its usually a bad drive.
