I want to ride the Big Holes, or Spring Creek/Darby Canyon this coming week. Snow was pretty good up Spring Creek a few days ago when I was up there. Eleven inches has fallen since then. It looks like there could be a real storm starting on Tuesday, so things might get really good. If the snow doesn't crust up in the sun tomorrow, it should be some really good riding.
When I ride the Big Holes, I come up from Packsaddle on the East side and go up to Relay Ridge and mess around. I'm a decent rider, but don't like to do anything really extreme. I don't like tricky sidehills with "ugly below," especially in varying spring conditions. It would be fun to meet some Rebels in this area. I've been skiing Targhee since about '91, and I just started riding sled 4 seasons ago. I've had some great riding experiences here in the last few years, but I can't find anybody to ride with this coming week. My friends from home just left, and the snow is just starting to get decent. Thanks, Rubi |

Sounds like we have similar riding styles and a ride would be great, but I sold my 2 running sleds a month ago (while you could still sell something) and bought a summer project!! Good luck with a ride if ya get a chance to go!!

^^Where are you at? I've got two sleds along. I ride alone sometimes, but it really sucks. If I'm not with someone else, it's mainly just a sightseeing opportunity.

I hurt my back skiing a few days ago, and I'm waiting for that to clear up some. They're talking about a major snowstorm on Tuesday, so I'd want to hit the fresh snow on Tuesday or Wednesday, maybe Thursday. Pocatello is kind of a long drive from here? I'm staying in Tetonia.

Hey akor, here's some pics from Spring Creek earlier this week. It wasn't great, but it certainly wasn't bad.
