Default What Vest/Chest Protector do the ladies use?

Hello! I'm in the market for a vest or chest protector and wanted to get some input from the girls. All the ones I've tried on seem to be made for guys or they just are not comfortable at all, so I need help finding some that may fit better...

Thanks in advance!

I ride with a tek vest the freestyle model as does my Mom. Everything stays in it's place and the girls are comfy and cozy. If you are interested in one shoot me a pm and I can hook you up.

I have a freestyle tekvest size xsmall I would sell. I've only worn it a few times, it just doesn't fit me quite right. Let me know if you're interested. They run large, it's more like a size small on their size chart.

Hi: I'm Ms. Swimmer's Mom, and I wear a freestyle tek vest. I use it for sledding and quadding. I like to wear it over my sled jacket, and during the other seasons I'll wear it under my lighter jackets or over a long sleeve shirt in the summer. After experiencing the feel of the handle bars in my chest on both the sled and the quad, the tek vest is as important to me as my helmet. I never ride without both.

Thanks for the replies! Jan - I may contact you later this spring to grab one, just can't afford it right now. However, I hit the handle bars this last weekend and it didn't feel too good, so I told my hubby that's my b-day present!

skidoogirl - I'm thinking I'll be needing at least a medium. Unfortunately I'm heavy up top, so trying to find something that fits correctly is tough! As a side note-I see you ride horses in the summer? I do too - keeps me sane while I'm waiting for the snow ;-)

Phazer - thanks for the info! I'll definitely be contacting your daughter when I can come up with the funds! :-)

Have a great day everyone!

I have been wearing the six six one core saver since breaking two ribs. It is comfortable but, it does have a tendency to ride up some. I might check out a tekvest in the future.

661 Coresaver.
x2 on the riding up part. A backpack helps.
Also...seems a bit short....but maybe I just need to quit drinking so much beer...
I heard the new ones were longer.
All in all good protection.

What?!? You think beer drinking causes it to ride up...well, shoot guess I better find another vest then cuz I'm not giving up beer!

Seriously, it works ok. I haven't tried anything else to compare it to but, I wear it ALL the time now, you get used to it.

I feel naked riding without my vest.
Took two hard shots to the chest last year....
Bought it after the second time.

I also wear a Tek Vest and love it. I have not tried any other vest either. I feel this gives me protection and won't ride without it. I have had mine since 2002 and need a smaller size now. Granted I am not "heavy on top" they fit perfect for me!!
