Default MN/Crankshaft help wanted

Im rebuilding my 1994 Polaris 750 SLT watercraft motor & am looking for someone with the ability & right tools to press apart my crankshaft, & put on my new bearings & rods, then press it back together. Anybody in MN that could help me out with this?? My brother sunk it & it spun the pto side bearing & snapped the #3 rod. I just need help with the crank work. Thanks ya'll. Jeff

If you use him, make sure that you got his info from another member at BCR. I know he is pretty active over at SW and he should know where the business is coming from.

NN/Jeff, I'd recommend Indy Dan, actual name Dan Turin, from Welch,MN, south of the Metro. (Formerly of Shakopee.)
I'm not sure how to get in touch with him, but he makes his living rebuilding motorsports engine bottom ends and cranks.

He helped me a lot to diagnose problems with my Dad's 60 HP Johnson outboard.

Maybe somebody else can post his contact info, but I'll look myself, and re-post.

Haha, looks like RXLrider posted same time as I did.

He has the correct info,
but here is a link to Dan's Ebay store, that may give you some more insight.

When you rebuild her, make sure to replace the woodruff key on the flywheel. I rebuilt the same ski, had it pop (backfire) once after the rebuild, sheared the woodruff key, and spun the flywheel. I guess the woodruff key was compromised when the ski hydrolocked, and I must have not seen any damage to the key itself. It took me a long time to find out the problem. I was looking at fuel (water), CDI, electronics, kill switch, then I thought mabye I twisted the crankshaft when it popped, everything was coming out ok, and then it hit me one night while I was sleeping. Opened her up, and there it was. A $2.00 part kept me down for most of the season.

Huh, just rode the bike through Welch last weekend. Ski there from time to time as well. Wonder if he's Mike Knapp's neighbor?
