Default Arctic Cat adjustable steering post

I installed this post on my 08m8 and was pleased with the cool factor. After 3 days of riding the post has alot of slop in it from the collar up. When idleing the handle bars vibrate so bad I question whether the next trip they are going to just come off in my hands and leave me F****d! (aka stranded)

Mine just broke in half at the welded joint right below the clamp. Not impressed.
Getting out 6.5 miles in the woods was real fun with no steering.

I noticed they even have a bit of movement to them right from the factory, so you could only assume it would get worse.

Love mine but loose right from the factory. A buddy says grab a wrench and tighten the two bolts at the collar. Told him it wouldn't help and they were tight. He grabs a wrench and puts about 5 more cranks on em'. Thought he was gunna snap them off but they tightened up some.

Somebody has a fix for this, can't remember who right now though.

I haven't broke mine, and the slop doesn't bother me, but the sliding collar did cut the end of my thumb off and jam a big jagged piece of thumbnail into the wound.
