Probably a simple question but I am having a hard time burping the coolant on a 2001 800mc
Had two coolant hoses that were replaced as a preventive measure and now I can't seem to get the same amount of coolant back into the system as I removed. We captured approx 1/2 gallon and have only gotten approx 1 quart back in. I have raised the front end a good 5 feet off the floor and run the engine until the hoses under the hood are warm but the rear cooler and hoses don't heat up leading me to believe that there is an air lock some where. any sugestions are welcome. thanks |

i just pull out the t stat fill the tank start the sled and keep filling the tank as the antifreez keeps going away. when it stops going away and your back coller starts getting warm your done . then put the t stat back and your good to go

simplest way to bleed any sled..top off the coolant put the lid back on to the first click, fire sled up and pull it over on its side with the coolant bottle on the low side(keep it running just below clutch engagement for about 1 minute..let it back down flat, check coolant level and top off if needed..then flip it on its side again(with coolant bottle on the high side this time)..same thing..bring rpm up to just shy of engagement hold it there for 1 minute..let it back down on the track and top off the coolant bottle again..if needed repeat whole process again but normally 1 time is all it takes.......
