Default 2010 154 belt deflection problem

Sledding in the Snowies I couldn't seem to keep my belt up high in the secondary. At the end of the first day the belt was a half inch down. Readjusted it and the next day wasn't bad but the following day it was a quarter inch down in the secondary again. The deflection nut did not seem to have moved, and my dealer is trying to tell me it was just belt stretch. I have never seen a belt stretch like this. Anyone else see this happen? Thanks Nick

Belts don't stretch. There is a issue with the "new" 10 adjuster backing off. I'm thinking Doo will be coming out with a update soon.
Try putting some loctite on the threads, maybe put 2 washers behind it and see if that helps....and make it tight!

Just took my 10 in for the first service and they said they adjusted the secondary. I hope that i dont have the same issue now. I really didnt want to mess with it because it hadnt moved. Why cant they just make a steel double nut set up for this?

belt stretch? that's funny. A belt will wear thinner after hundreds of miles and then your deflection will change, but a belt doesn't strech

The writing on the front of the helix has been grabbing and turning the adjuster. Like winter brew said add another washer to it to space the adjuster further away from the helix or get a clutch kit with a different helix with no writing. Winter brew can hook you up with that
