Default Primary Spring Question

I am currently running a Yellow/White in my primary and I am down 300-400 RPM's. My question is will a stiffer spring say a 140-340 versus the 122-285 (yellow white) give me the RPM's I am looking for?

Drop the primary weight by a couple grams this will help. Also what elevation are you riding at? I dropped from 68 to 66.5 custom grinding job and picked up about 250 rpm. If you are at 68 you could probably go to 65grams.

What kinda sled?? M?? I researched & went with the most popular combo. It works great. Gold primary, Orange secondary with a D&D shift assist. Engages at 3200 rpm & backshift is fantastic.

I have an 08M1K with quite a few mods. I am currently running 80 grams with the yellow/white in the primary. The secondary has an RKT tortional conversion with 38 degree helix and the snopro green spring. I found some 77 gram weights that I am going to try this weekend and see if they give me the rpm's I am looking for.

Just droped the weights on my m7 and it worked great. I heard of other peeps doing it with fantastic results as i had. Even the '10 M8's are dropping grams. Good luck.

the other option is to add a stiffer primary spring with a higher finish rate.

When changing springs make sure you are comparing apples to apples, not all springs are rated in the same way. I just received a bunch of springs from SLP to try. I really like the blue/pink, which is the one they were suggesting I try first. The Yellow/White AC spring just did not work on the top end for my sled, but felt great down low.

I have heard the Speedwerx White/Red spring is good - very high finish rate though - something like 340?
