Default 162 powerclaw onto 1M 900

I have been researching this online and still have some questions. I have a 1M 900 2004 with 159x2 with 2.52 pitch. Just bought a 162 x 2.25 powerclaw with 3.0 pitch. I see people have used the Wahl bros 8T drivers and cut the small nub off the track or the 2005-06 king cat driver with no mods to the track? So with the new drivers I don't use the outside drivers anymore, just the two center ones correct? And I can either move my skid back 1" or use a big wheel kit? The anti-stab kit is reccomended?

I have no technical clue and haven't ridden mine in too long... but I think I'm setup similarly to what you're trying.
I bought mine like this and have only repaired and replaced stuff, as needed.

2004 Arctic Cat King Cat 900
162 x 16 x 2.3 Challenger Extreme non-ported Track
Billet Rear Wheel Kit & IceAge Rails

this is long ago in my memory so take it with a grain of salt. you can order a king cat drive shaft for 06 and it should have the 3.0 p drivers on it. I think you only have to cut the numbs off for the M series on the L side for the diamond drive to clear the 1m has a chain case. you have to cut the rail tip or move the skid back so it will not hit the extrovert part of the drivers. you WILL need a anti stab kit.

FOMOCO has it...I would only add the King cat in 04 had the 3.0 track as well but not the mountain cat

the rails i think have enough adjustment to take up the slack. i have an anti stab kit if you need one.

the best mod for that chassis is the forward mount steering post...free and helps the handing a ton. no kidding

just remember when your installing the skid...the rear shock angle from high in the back to low in the front....the low in the front has to be above the pivot point, it wants to go below and it will fit

Default Looking for anti-stab kit

Will the M series anti stab kit fit my 2004 1M 900 cat? Looking at BDX kits but can't find a listing for my 900.

yep and you only have to run the inner two wheels. slp make one with 4 but the L side falls off if you don't use locktite

BDX lists a kit for the 05-06 M series sleds and another kit for the 07-12 M series. Not sure if one or both will work properly? Suggestions?

Called BDX on the phone and they confirmed that the 05-06 M series anti-stab is correct the the 1M and Kingcat machines.

have you thought of the forward mount steering post? its basically free and very easy to do.

to me it was the biggest change in handling.
