Just for clarification, both are stock Snowhawk exhausts. The one that exists in the middle of the expansion chamber is a Mattech system. It came on the 800's and a few of the 600's. What is shown in the picture is not entirely stock, as the "suitcase" silencer has been removed from the system.

The Jaws exhaust was the original exhaust to all of the 503's and most of the 600's. Jaws then made a pipe for the 800 similar to the one's for the 503 and 600. It is 15 lbs lighter than the Mattech system and gives the 800 an extra 15hp.

If I understand this correctly you have a tough time changing the belt ?

There is an easy way to change belts , knock off the outer ring on the upper belt pulley , no need for it .

You should be able to change it just by loosing or removing the idler pulley , may have to put a longer bolt threw the pulley to do this , I did , so all you have to do is loosen it or even remove it without loosing the adjusting bolt on the tensioner and when you get the belt on you should be able to start the idler pulley bolt at an angle and it will walk it's way back with a little help when tightened .

The tolerances are so close that as long as the proper tension had been applied to the old belt the new one will be fine which should allow you to check tension once you get back , unless you carry a belt tensioner in your pocket

Very simple , just be patient when putting it on so you don't gouge the belt . If you can't do it that way than your gonna have to pull the top pulley which is no big deal since the outer ring is off . As long as nothing is bent the belt will walk from side to side on the pulleys threw out the throttle range . The belt can not flex enough to walk off as long as the idler pulley has an outer lip to keep it in if for some reason it tried to walk off .

A couple of us have switched to a Gates belt called the Eliminator 1280-8M-60E it's a little wider and much stronger . third season on the one I'm running
