I sent my Samsung Galaxy S5 to the bottom of the ocean working downriggers the last trip out that I posted that pic from. I feel your pain there Grizzz. Live and learn right?

So a little trick I had to learn the hard way on phones is to put them in a ziplock when fishing to keep them dry. Too many phones lost to wet wading in the summer time with shorts on and phones in the pockets.

Doesn't help much when they are in 200' of water Mine fell out of my pocket. Yes. I use the zip lock trick often when playing in the kayak or wheelers. Guess a floating case wouldn't be a bad investment.

Nice try Mofo, no fish stories here. No selfie addict here. This is supposed to be a rotten year for coho here, some of my crew have brought in over 60 so I say BS on the scientists and their predictions.

If I could fish for more than 9 or 10 hours a week I'd be slaying many. I don't get out much due to 24/7 responsibilities with the wife. An average year before the wife got sick, 70 hours a week in salmon season, split between the boat & shore. Over 300 sockeye in 2010, most caught with 7 yr. old grandson. Time constraints ruin my fishing time. Missed 6 10 day lake trips in the last 3 years (100 + trout is common), boat has been in water for 2 hours of last 3 years. But keep on fishing with your selfie stick, best put some eyes and a reel on it!

One 4 lb buck silver caught 1-2 hours ago, real silver one for ya. Waiting for the big late northerns to arrive should be another week or so.
