What a good time this turned out to be. There were riders that showed up from WA, CA, UT, ID, WY, AZ, and NV. Our group ended up putting on 130ish miles in 2 days of riding with pretty minimal carnage considering how fast we were trying to cover ground Saturday and with the group we had. They are planning on doing it again next year and I would suggest getting it on your calendar and trying to attend. It was a great time with great food and prizes. Heres a few pics from the day.

Topping out on the Driggs side of the big holes looking at the Tetons.

Shocker that this crew found snow and wanted to wallow in it!

Smasher still on his phone 35 miles in the backcountry......shocker

Refilling the tanks 40 miles in Saturday. The temps were in the 90s and I drank almost 2 gallons of water by noon.

Awesome country to ride in

I'm a flat lander and a street bike guy. Dirt stuff I'm a newbie at. What is a cow tag?

The colored/numbered tag they stick in the ear of live stock to keep track of them. What they did was on 2-300 miles of single track they had tags hung up in trees and a hand written number on the back. You had to ride to it and get both numbers off the tag to validate it and each tag was worth so many raffle points. If it was far and difficult to get to it was worth more than say a trail rated easy and 5 miles from the base camp. Everyone checked back in by 5 with their total tags and were given raffle tickets that you could choose which items you could put it towards. There were shotguns, bike parts, rekluse clutches, free chick fillet for a year, and more to give you an idea of what was given away. So if a guy really wanted one thing he could put all his tickets in on one item. Then by participating you also got put in for the drawing for Cody Webb's KTM 300 Race Bike that was given away at the end of the night. All the proceeds went the blue ribbon coalition.

Cool. Thanks for the explanation. I have seen cattle tags. Just didn't know how they were used in this context.
