Question Tra 3 question

On a tra 3 primary, if I change only the spring from a 160/260 to a 160/290 what kind of rpm change can I expect or is there no rule of thumb for this?
Thanks for the advice

Best guess is about 100 in the mid and 200 at full shift. Not an exact science.

Engagement will be the same. Agree with the answer above, may be as high as 300 RPM more on the top. Shift curve will also be higher. What is it you're looking to do?

Im looking to gain 150 rpm on the top. Played with clickers, pin weight up n down, tried dropping helix 2&4 and my 800 ho seems very determined to run at 7650-7700 according to a koso 4 in 1 tach. The tach checks out with my photo/mechanical combo tach to 6000 after that i get scared. The only part I dont have to try is the 160/290 spring. Im kinda tired of buying parts but whats one spring hey! Thanks for the advice guys!!!

What ramps and what clicker. You may be binding the clutch and unable to get the arms to spin out as needed.

What sled (800, 600 or 500).

I have a 04 800 with 414 ramps 200-290 spring (yeah it comes in hard and pulls to 8000 on the digitron tach). Secondary is a bunch of parts from the box.

I am running an 06 ho 800 in a snowhawk. Im running 415 ramps and have tried all clicker positions. When I change clicker positions I see a difference in throttle response and how hard it shifts 1 shifts hard revs slow, 6 shifts slow and revs fast but the top rpm ends the same.

If you have the taller spring, give it a shot. Just remember to mark down what you did and what the machine did in response to said change.

Possible , lots of factors come into play with the birds . Has the MPEM been recurved ? That right there would change everything not to mention allowing it to hit 9100 if I'm not mistaken ?
