Default 05 Billet chaincase covers !

AS most of yo know I make the only billet chaincase cover available for the 2005 900 chaincases . I will be making a small run of covers in the next few days and wanted to give the rest of you the heads up if your interested !

No the 05 and 06 chaincases are different the 05 is 3 "s longer and much larger in general . I am planning on some for the 06s since thats what I ride myself but haven't done any yet. Fastrax and Avid both have covers for the 06 sleds and given the rep. both have I am sure you could not go wrongwith either!

Kreg, A buddy of mine called Fastrax a couple months ago for one and was told they don't make them anymore. So he got me one from Avid. It looked nice, but the hole's for the cover bolts did not line up with the threads in the housing very well. I had to enlarge them so that I could get all the bolts to thread in.

With yours, we didn't have to doo that.

Please start making them. Polaris' changed from plastic to magnesium in 09. My brand new 09 had two cracks in the cover where the casting ridges were/are right in front of the sight glass.

This was with 0 miles on the odometer.

HMM!I guess thats why Avids cover is so inexpensive. Thanks for the info Dave !I need one for my 06 too if everyone will quite tearing up there sleds I might have time to work on my own!

I got one from you and its working great. Fitup was just as good as the stock but much more ridgid. I Have a turbo setup close to the chaincase so this is a must. I would deffinatly recomend to all.
