Gettin excited... i know its not alot but old man winter finally showed up! Any body see Burandt's facebook post of him riding his new turbo sleds the other day!? they were above tree line but in like 3 ft of snow sidhilling. not saying im ready to go rip a ski off, but thats crazy! i wonder where he was???

uhm, yeah!

Serviced axles on the trailer this weekend. Unloaded the sled.
Gonna spoon studded tires onto the bike this evening.
Rails are on order. Engine's coming out of the sled in the next few days.

I suspect you could get out and do some road riding in the higher elevations. You would have to be nuts, and have a big bank account if you actually tried riding off trail this early. It obviously CAN be done but, still pretty risky this early. We generally do not venture off trail until there has been 5-6 feet of snow with some firm base underneath. The rocks and stumps live in the first three feet

Pretty good accumulation this morning down south. 6-8 total in this last storm down at 7500 ft in Ridgway. Normally that means 18-24 up the hill... Starting to pile up!

Good luck, I know some guys were planning on road riding Vail Pass today but I would stay on the trail, I know we got a lot of snow but there is no base below it.
