Default any go kart experts in here?

I have come across a go kart for sale that I am looking to purchase through a guy I work with but I cant seem to find any information on it. It is a 1995? Corvette 7-UP promotional go kart with a three hp briggs. Does anyone here know anything about glass bodied replica gokarts? What do you think this little guy is worth in good running/driving condition with a few cosmetic flaws?

I had a Mercury LN7 kart when I was a kid and loved it. I think my kids will enjoy this corvette should I not have to spend an arm and a leg on it.

Thanks in advance!

Kinda what I am thinking too. Just wondering if anyone knows what a fair price would be. I searched quite a bit on the old interwebs and have only come across ONE other photo of one like it which was at some estate auction. I think it is probably rare, but dont think that makes it valuable per say.

There also doesnt seem to be much of a forum following for go-carts that are not either the racing type or the dune buggy. Not alot of glass bodied cars out there.

You must be looking to upgrade the fiero.... lol

I am not sure how "rare" they are as in collectors going wild for them, I would say just less desire for them these days. I remember some coca cola ones on bisman for a long time asking about 6-700. Do they have an asking price already? If anything you could at least try and work the price down on any mechanical finds that need fixing, tell them fiberglass is expensive to have professionally repaired, etc. I do think it would make a great toy for your kids, upgrading their piston to age ratio already..

Relative to racing style and dune buggy style karts, the fiberglass bodies are much more rare. However, I dont think that makes them more valuable or desirable. Just dont see many as I think ones like this were typically produced for promotional purposes such as parades, shows, etc. My Mercury LN7 was a Bismarck Hedahls parade kart before my Gpa bought it for me in the early 90s.

That would be their "cylinder index"
and technically, since I would be buying it.... it would be MY cylinder index going up by one.

Best way to figure it out is to go on EBay & search to see what some are pulling.

I searched some forums and this one turns out to be worth about $200 to $300. Trying to get the guy down a bit from his price of $600. The kart needs a lot of body work and fixing up but I think it would be a good father son first car project if I can get it for the right price.

Thing is cool. My son (18) said, "why didn't we do that?".
