Please Keep us updated with your feedback on her down the strech of winter. I for one want to hear reviews of actual owners.
Will do if we ever get any snow here in AK. Most of the state is still lacking big time on snow.

Doesn't have anything to do with the brand. I am not brand loyal, I have a Cat and a Poo. It has everything to do with the actual sled. Since the Vipers are built by Cat in Cat's factory I am not even sure which brand they really are.

The discussion starts when people start making excuses for marginal machines. Heavy and underpowered has never been a the right direction for mountain sleds.

As to new owners providing feedback, uh-huh, I am sure those guys dropping $15k plus on one of these is going to admit they made a mistake, or even have a point of reference. You might as well accept the excuses currently being made and call it good.

1) You can't feel the extra weight because of the extra power
2) Yamaha fixed all of Cats production quality issues
3) It is fair to spend thousands extra to make it competitive

The list goes on...

Now if it was just " this sled is the most fun for the type of riding I do" that wouldn't cause a stir. That is what I say about my sled. Is it perfect, will it get the hi-mark, probably not but I sure do have fun!

The problem comes when people want to embellish and claim that 100+ extra pounds on a sled is of no consequence. When they manage to ditch the extra weight, I will get right in line. Until then it is a band-aid, to heavy, too slow, too expensive. Great sled though I am sure.

Its funny. The pro comes out everyone is instantly chris burandt. There were guys riding that style on apex's before the pro ever came out. As graceful not even. As easy to throw around no. But the apex once set up is awesome at holding a side hill in the trees. Who cares if guys are dropping 15k on a viper. For hating people that claim to be amazing you sure do have a target on your head for awesomness.

Red, did you misread my post? I have a Pro 163 (actually I sold it yesterday) you don't need to try and enlighten me on how awesome it is....Just saying.

For comparison sake, I also own a Murdered out Turbo Apex (which I've ridden the chit out of) and a Viper MTX with a 240 HP turbo kit, that one I just brought home today.

I would love to have saved the money and only dropped 12K on a 2015 Pro, that would have been nice. Instead, I spent thousands more to get the performance I really want. The pro is not capable of delivering this level of performance in a reliable platform. It is a simple concept to grasp.

To each their own
