Default 2013/2014 Big Horn Mtns snow condition thread

Went up Saturday and unloaded at Burgess Junction parking lot. Rode up Big Willow creek and came out at Owen creek area. We found some places that were not tracked up to bad and had decent powder in those areas. Snow is definately better than the 23rd of December last year for our fist ride, As usual there could be more snow. We are going up again the thurs. or fri. after Christmas and I will report then.

Rode today. Went up on the Lovell side. It was a HOLY COW day. Never got more than 6 miles from the truck and had all the deep snow and stucks we could handle. I managed 43 miles and am out of gas and wore out. It wasn't quite EPIC but it was very good. Snotel at Bald said 50 inches yesterday and they had 23 inches the same day last year.

Apparently no-one here but doorulz and I ride the Horns. Oh well, more snow for us. Season is winding down for us, but we'll try this thread again next season. See if we can't drum up some more participants.
