Greetings All,
Our Groomer has successfully completed six grooming sessions with no over-heating issues, that is great news! At the end of last season our groomer experienced an engine failure the engine was rebuilt over the summer and several issues surfaced during our early season grooming this year. A water pump and both thermostats were defective and have been replaced. Our Groomer has been grooming each of the following nights Jan. 02, 03, 04 & 05. In general terms this covers the west sides of hwy 55. By the weekend we should have the east side of hwy 55 up to speed this would include the Packer John and East Mountain area. The Wellington Snow park received approximately 18" of snow over the Holiday weekend and 5 additional inches since then. As soon as the trail gets a base we will start pulling the drag which extends the grooming intervals and perserves your trail grooming dollars. Come on up and enjoy the snow this weekend, our goal is to arrived on Thursday evening that's right were camper trash! Keep your scratchers down, Craig. Last edited by 4gr8x; 01-06-2010 at 06:33 AM. Reason: Clarification on the grooming on the east side of hwy 55. |

Thanks for selecting 43D for your registration fun dollars! I don't have recent copies of our grooming budgets for Valley Co. with me at the moment. But there is a major difference in registration dollars between the four different grooming programs with-in Valley Co. respective to 43A, 43B, 43C & 43D. Thanks, Craig. Greetings All,
The Wellington Snow park/Cougar Mt. groomer will have a mechanic on-site removing the head tomorrow Thursday, January 07, 2010. A Valley Co. commissioner will be attending meetings in Boise on Thursday as well. As soon as the mechanic has confirmation on the defective componet(s) parts availability will be confirmed and if in stock in the Boise area the Valley Co. commission will pick-up the parts and deliver them to Wellington Snow park on his way home for installation the following day. If parts are not available locally they will be ordered with expedited shipping. Craig. |

Greetings All,
The wireless card is working well tonight we have the heaters warming up the camper as we are on-site at the Wellington Snow park. Sky is clear the thermometer on the warming hut says 5 degrees F...snow is crunchy. Update on the groomer the head was removed today the head gasket did fail, additionally the head is now warped, but repairable. The Valley Co. groomer coordinator will have the damaged head at a repair shop in the Boise area tomorrow morning at 8 am the vendor will provide us with a two hour turn around. Forecasting the head and head gasket to be at the Wellington Snow park around 1-ish pm. Everything will have to work perfectly to have the groomer back together by tomorrow night. Craig. |

Hey if you guys need someone to pick up your parts and bring them up, drop me a PM. I'd be happy to lend a hand in that small way and it's a good excuse to get back to the mountains. Just have to work it around me work schedule but that's pretty easy most evenings.
Thanks for the great effort you guys are putting into all this. It was fun meeting you guys when we were up there. Hauler
