Here is what I did:
used a foam donut thing from wps I believe(maybe slp, can't remember)with stock airbox.  The duct on the DS hood fits right into it. Then I shaved the little rib things off the nose cone and put that aluminum sheet in there, it mounts to the stock holes and is sealed with napa canopy tape I glued the pipe insulation on the top so it would seal up to the hood and keep snow out.    3+ years/DEEP snow, no snow in the engine, sucks good air, no bogs, no sidevents, one belt a year, no B.S.

Also, that yellow stuff under that pipe insulation is the 3m super weatherstrip adhesive from NAPA. Been on there the whole time and has not come up yet. Good stuff
