Default The "I don't know what I'm doing" chili

Chopped up some chicken, a little over a pound. Medium-size package from the store.

Squeezed in two limes, and about half the jar of chipotle tabasco.

Mix that stuff together and let it sit for a while, half-hour or so.

Then turn the stove on. Medium heat to cook the chikkin.

Chicken's cooked? Great. Now dump in a jar of salsa.

Toss in some spices.

Chop some cilantro and dump it in.

Stir it all together, simmer on low heat for a while.

The usual fillers... can of corn, black beans, and pinto beans.

Stir it all together. Toss in some more cilantro, and squeeze in another lime.

Next time I'll throw in a cup of water and a cube of chicken boullion. It's kinda thick.

And some cheese on top. Turned out pretty damn good.

Here's some "special music" to go along with that gastronomical delight.

Cilantro does add some flavor to it. The fresh stuff is a lot more flavory than the freeze-dried flakes (cheaper too, in terms of dollars-per-flavor-unit).

Might cut back on the lime (1 before, 1 after cooking should be enough), it's a little overpowering. The chipotle tabasco is damn good.

For as easy as the recipe is... couple of ingredients, one pot and a cutting board, and about an hour start-to-finish, it's definitely a keeper. It may also be a good snowmo-camping recipe - cut up and freeze the chicken/cilantro beforehand, then chuck everything into the pot on a camp stove.

I'm at 20 hours now with no major ass-blast. I've got one brewing, but I don't think it's going to be ugly. Big jack & coke last night, had a cup-o-ramen and a mountain dew this afternoon. Iron gut, baby!!
