Sorry, I don't own an XP but I think the pipe and space under the hood with the pipe configuration are fairly similar to the REV and I couldn't use a Muffpot on my REV.
(now I got two muffpots that I can't use for anything! )There was no way to mount it so that it could be opened to remove the pot because of the big lever style catch on it's top. I bought some Ht Doggers for my wife's and my sleds and they installed real nice right next to the "Y" pipe without any interference with the spare belt holder or all the electronics and bracket on the wife's SDI. That's the spot you want to install them if you want to be able to heat up cold food. It's a shame too because I much prefer the Muffpot over the Hot dogger but what are you gonna do?!!! I've heard of people mounting them on end on the can if you have an aftermarket one but I didn't want to go that way. Sorry I can't be of any real help. EDIT: Snowrider, That's where I tried to put the Muffpot on my REV and it has too many brackets and crap to be able to open the latch...I'll be darned, there is more room on an XP than a Rev! Got a new wrinkle in the brain this morning! Hey, Merry Christmas!

Mine is in the exact same spot Blu, but I cut the pipe shell and insulation away so the pot sits right on the pipe.

I moved mine to on top of the can(MBRP),I was skepticle but I had frozen pasta and it thawed it and was too hot to eat right away.It is real easy access and did not interfere with anything.I have a hot pot.

I've seen them mounted right to the can on XP's. As long as its a mufpot that seals and not a hot dogger.
P.S. I had a hot dogger on my 04 REV. Fit easy.
