Got an issue with my sled, I was up tuning the clutch last weekend. I could not keep the sled from over reving about 200 rpm. I have an RK-Tek sec. with 36-34 helix, his new duel spring setup. I got the upshift and backshift working the way I want, but I changed the weights as much as 4 grams ( cutler adjust) and still could not keep it from over reving. Has the ti yellow/white primary. It almost acts like it wants more helix to load the motor more on the top, but I am no clutching expert. Any help would be great..Thanks

Did you preload the spring 2 studs. If you only do 1 it will zip through the rpm without loading the motor.
I run 3# gram more with the RKT secondary than I do on the identical sled with a cutler secondary. Keep throwing weight until it starts to pull down. |

I don't remember what I set the preload to. I have the spring one hole left of center (more tension) and really like the backshift and upshift. Forgot to say that I have the SLP Pipe set, and RK-Tek head and base gasket on the sled. Next time I ride, I'll throw weight at it until it drops..

The further right you go, the more tension you gain. If you have the spring in the middle hole, spin it 2 studs, if you put it on the first hole, or the 6th hole you will always put it back on the same stud position.
What secondary spring are you using? |
