Default Moscow/North Idaho

So I am enrolled to go U of I this fall and was wondering about the area up there and was hoping you guys could help me out. I have only been through there once a few years ago so I' just trying to get an idea of what to think. Whats the dirt biking scene up there like? Snowmobiling? How close are the riding areas? and I'm really wondering if anyone knows of possible off campus apartments up there. I really don't want to have to sacrifice sledding for the next 4 years. Just anything about the area up there would be great! thanks

Elk River is probably the most popular riding area for people from Moscow. Half the town is off campus apartments!
