Default Changing seat on a powder special?

Our daughter is going to be riding our 2000 powder special this year but she doesn't like how wie the seat is. We got a dirt bike seat to replace the seat. We will fab up some brackets etc. but we are wondering how close to the tank can you cut that seat off at?

If I remeber right you want to leave about 1 1/2" of the flat. after that it's all good. There was kind of a mark or a ridge that was a good indicator of where to cut it.

Good luck

If you can get ahold of Boss seats, they should have good info on where too cut it off.

A.

I think you can cut it right where that plastic inner seat liner bolts on.
