Jan.31,2012 after sitting here all winter, I thought it was time to get the sled started and ride close to shore of my lake (North long Lk) where there was a couple inches of sticky, granular snow. Temp was 36*.
Depends on the weather if we get any meaningful snow before spring. With some fresh non-oxy fuel, charged battery, the engine popped right off, about one crank rev. lol. Guess I didn't mention it has a factory block heater I had plugged in for 2 hours. ![]() The "turbo-tank" '05 Cat T660-Turbo 4-Stroke. 3-cyl, dual OHC, EFI. Wiz's humble abode in background. Here in the cities I took the motor cycle out for a ride (around the block). Snow is all but gone

I don't think we will get any meaningful snow that will last more than a day or two this season. Wiz, it is good that you got it our for at least a quick spin.
This has been the winter that never was.

The lake ice is making strange low pitched grumps and growls today so far. Sunny, 32*, not sure why its noisy when its warm. Usually the opposite conditions when the ice is noisy. Dunno.

Thanks.
I don't do anything special. Just wipe down the hood and seat. Wash off the suspension and tunnel before summer storage. I've never done anything in the engine compartment, and 1,996 miles on it. Not a lot for these sleds. Some on Arctic Chat post 6,000, even 10,000 miles. I'm still running on the original belt. Looks perfect so far.

Ohhhh, thats cruel.
But I rode it at Tog '06,'07','08 and '09. Plus whatever miles I put on around here. We were at Tog for a full week each of those years. You got that pine cone catcher on the front of your sled yet? ![]() One more thing, I almost forgot, because I feel so good now, there was a "little" issue of 18 months of dealing with heart problems, although I did put on about 50 miles up/down the PB, and did 2 shifts in the groomer. So there, Hrrumphh.!
