Does anyone wear knee/shin guards when riding. Been riding and practicing wrong foot forward and when I lay the sled over my knee really drags rather deep in the snow. Not knowing what under the snow been thinking about knee/shin guards. Any one better then others?

661 knee and shin guards.
Never ride without em.. Watched Wingnut crash and he slammed his shin so hard into his tunnel he actually bent the tunnel. After that, I never ride without knee and shin guards.

Ya I have pair of EVS's I won't ride without. I ripped my shin open really really bad the running board only once before I learned my lesson. It was a bloody mess man.

I wear the Thor force ones after hearing reviews from others such as Mule on here. I have bad knees to start with and these work great and don't slide around like others. They are pretty decently priced and just like a vest you get use to riding with them in no time.

i just picked up a set of Fox Launch shorty knee/shin guards and they seem to be real simple to use.

I never ride anything without them, and at $12 a copy, it's an easy investment for all riders. Of course, ASTERISKS and WEBS are another matter, and worth every penny as well, and do more than impact protection, but impact pro is pretty basic necesity IMO. I actually crashed in soft wet sand one time at high speed on the dirt bike, and hit with so much force that one knee cap on the shin guard cracked in half. Glad that energy got dispersed a little there, rather than into a bare kneecap.

Same as what everyone else here is saying. Yesterday I had a belt explode at full out and it big belt junks ripped through my HOLZ all metal knee vent completely tearing it and all the rivets out and depositing it 40 yards off of the trail. It bounced off my knee and cut a nice clean line right through my new HMK pants. NO KNEE damage or pain what so ever because I ride with cheap shell/pad FLY knee/shin guards! PHEW..it would have sucked to have my season ended on the first break in ride on something has minor as a belt. Several hundred in sled parts could have become several thousand in ME parts and been a reall fricking bummer that far from the pain killers at the hospital!

never ride sled or bike without them. cheapest body protection your gonna get. I rock Thor ones that set me back 15 bucks. Put some nice knee shaped dents into trees and my radiator shrouds on the bike and been fine.
