Cut the axle to 8 7/8" then drill and tap one end. Cut the spacer to 4 1/4", then I took some 2" aluminum flat bar and drilled a 1/2 inch hole in the center for a washer on the outside of the rails. I also flipped the bolts around that hold the adjuster on so they weren't sticking out.

The stuff I used was 1/4 if I remember right, just some scrap we had laying around at the shop, it wouldn't have to be that thick though just so it wouldn't bend when you tighten the bolt down.

Yep, cause if you screw up, it just costs money to fix it.

I used the 2 extra adjuster blocks on the outside. You can then leave the adjuster bolt on the outside of the rails.

Default nice job

since you put the adjusters on the inside for a cleaner look,
turn the bolts around so the bolt head is on the out side and the nut is on the inside then cut the bolt so as to not hit the booggy.
i shouldve dun that and save $
