Default Clutch Tools

So, I'm finally going to do break down and buy my own clutch tools.

My challenge is I have a '00 Gen II, '03 Edge (with PERC) & '08 IQ sleds plus an '05 Ranger XP. What will I need for each or, are there tools out there that do a good job on all 4?

I assume the presses will do all but the alignment tools are different. Also, what are other "must haves". I can spend a lot at SLP but don't want to if I don't need to. Are there any other good sources out there for these "specialty" tools?

Thanks.

Next question, how far do you want to go into them?

X2! If you are looking at total disassembly, the tools are not cheap. An yes, your alignment bars are all going to be different. Do you already have the clutch pullers? The Edge and IQ are the same, but I'm not sure about the Gen2. I know the 97-99 twins are different, but I don't know what year the change was.

I want to get down to full dissasembly.

I have the pullers (that does works on all) and borrow a press. I know I need at least two alignment bars. What about a spider wrench and roller/bushing tools?

Also, is SLP the only one-stop shop as it looks like it is?

A clutch press is nice for the P-85 and "old" polaris driven but not a necessity
A clutch press for the team will be needed if you want to change springs. (there are other ways but we are talking about making things easy).

Need to have alignment tools, P-85 spider nut tool, spider removal tool, clutch holder, sheave clamp tool (easy to change weights on the sled) , button tool, pin removal tool is nice but can be substituted. Hope that helps.

And don't buy the 30 dollar clutch alignment tool, it may not work on the IQ due to interference from the engine compartment cross bracket. At least it is an issue on the old 900.

WWW.Hiperf.com will have everything you need with maybe the exception of a decent alignment bar. That you will need to get from Polaris or Team.
