Stone house project

Thanks Chad. It's out near the top of McNeil canyon. Roof was completely shot so we did new trusses, tin, doors and windows to weatherproof it some. Somebody didn't have a winter hobby as all stones were squared including in the basement. Lot of work to do inside but the firepit is stacked with wood if we ever get snow!

Thanks Bump and Fool! It does have a full basement, access from the outside but I don't like going down there because my sisters told me it was Haunted when I was little. Been a project I've wanted to do for a long time.

That is awesome man! Who wouldn't want a place like that to pull up too, shut down, and cozy up next to the fire. Keep the pics coming!

Firepit on north or right side of stonehouse. A glacier from Canada stopped about 100 yards from building. Thus the abundance of stone. Steve Sorry it didn't come up right , I'm trying to learn how to do it and my hired man isn't here to show me! Last edited by 143777; 01-03-2012 at 06:21 PM.
