I just start up the engine and give it a minor rev and watch for the servo to cycle. After it cycles it should go to its starting position or (closed valve position) shut it down.. Then I attach the cables to the servo pulley and adjust the slack out of them. You want a tiny bit of slack. Just so you know the valves are seated...closed.
Then start it up. If it cycles once only with your adjusted cables attached..you are good to go. If it cycles a few times in a row your valves are dirty or you are out of adjustment. Thats my way. Last edited by DOUBLE A; 12-17-2009 at 08:52 PM. Reason: retarded spelling.... |

Yes, 38.5mm. Arctic Cat has changed them back and forth through the years, but when I talked to the engineers on this a year or so ago, they said 38.5 was the happy number.
