I run the 2.0 top and bottoms. With fleece pants, TekVest and bibs and jacket I've been great down to 5*.

Klim Togwotee bibs and Valdez jacket.

IMHO good boots and gloves are one of the most important pieces.
You'll lose a lot of body heat with cold feet and hands.

I use the Cold Gear 2.0 base layer top and bottoms and they are a great mid weight base layer. Breathe very well and I can wear just the top under a MF Rekon jacket down to about 0 here without issue. I have a mid weight Mountain Hardwear vest that I wear when its really cold but my arms are still just the underarmor and shell. Much better than my beloved patagonia underwear that I used for so many years before commiting to the UA stuff. I also like their thin wicking socks under some smartwools for the feet!

Been using it for everything outside from fall to winter for a few years. Love it, but I wish I had gotten a looser top and not the mock tee. To tight, seems to cut blood flow to my arms when they are bent on the dirt or street bike. Also I notice when I start to sweat the back of the shirt will cause me to be uncomfortable and itchy.

Picked up a different brand long sleeve tee style this fall and while I can still feel sweat on my back out walking, etc it doesn't bother as much and having my neck be able to breath is great.

As for the pants, well they never keep the junk in the middle, always flopping to one side or another, had to start wearing boxer briefs under the pants.
