Default Can't decide 2012 rmk 155 or 144 switchback

Cant decide which to buy?? moving back to willow AK soon
Ride in Hatchers and on the lakes and trails in the area.
I owned short tracks before and wished I had a long track.
Some say the 144 is the best all around track but im not convinced, just dont want to wish I bought the 155, what do you guys think????

Switchback's the "crossover" sled, kinda-trails, kinda-mountains.

It's going to do better on the trails than the 155 will do, but you'll miss that extra track in the steep-and-deep.

If you spend more time off the trail than on it, i'd go for the 155.

I'd go 155, you live in AK and as far as I know you guys have great snow more times than not. If most of your time is off the trail go 155. If your into blasting the trail and lakes I guess go for the 144. in the end it's all in the way you ride and where you ride.

even if you ride 50/50 trails and mountains I'd say get the rmk. I am really surprised how well my 2012 155 handles on the trails so theres no huge sacrifice there and you'll love the 155 once you get off trail up at hatchers where it look like it might be a deep year

Had a 144 and now have a 155. It really is no that much more on the trail but it seems like a mile longer in deeper snow. I ride a lot of everything, ditches, trails, in the mountains, not that I am good at any of those things but the new chassis and longer track has made me more confident in all those areas...

155 i think most of the time when someone goes shorter they end up wishing they went longer in the end. IMO
