Needed a new throttle cable (a few actually, always good to have spares around) for my sled. FatBoyzFrenchy on another forum had a great setup for the 900s that eliminated the short cable between the oil pump and throttle body. Because these cables were custom-built for the 900, no dealer has them and the stock ones won't work without that short connecting cable.
Stopped by several moto/powersports and hardware stores in the area, nobody knew where I could have a custom cable made. Someone mentioned that Motion Pro can build cables to order for custom motorcycles. Got in contact with them and sent them some pics of what I had, their communication was quick and they said they could build it in 7-10 days for under $50 per assembly (FBF wanted over twice that).
Sent in the torn-up cable from my sled, called them with payment info and had a package in the mail with two brand new custom-built cables in under two weeks.
Quality of the build is on par with FBF's and better than the OEM cable. Crimps are tight and the cable slides freely. Fit with my sled is perfect - Only the usual adjustments required on installation. Note that the cable doesn't come with E-clips or nylon washers; but the local Ace Hardware had all those pieces in stock for less than a dollar.
The one thing I did do was add some adhesive-lined heat shrink tubing over the throttle crimp to reinforce and seal that connection.
