Default M1180 VE sled from way back...

With VanAmburg Ent. joining the fray at BCR I thought I'd post up so pics of a M7 Mod I did a few years back. I know it's old but they are still fun to look at. My wife at the time thought I was nuts, brand new M7 in the garage and I striped it right down to the last bolt. Sent the bulkhead off to Mike and Liz at VE and he dropped and rolled the diamond drive for me, stuck a tunnel on and PC'd it black and yellow... the perfect color for a Cat! The motor was a one of 4 1080cc stroker motor built by Jeff at Dakota Performance. It ran spacers on the 1000cc CPC Dragon big bore kit, custom head, Jaws twins, 58mm oval bore CPC carbs and a stroked crank by Crankwerx. The rest is pretty self explainitory from the pics. Hope you like the pics as much as I loved building it...

I remember that sled!!
She is a sweet one for sure. What has happened to it? How did the stroker run? Were you not at Cooke that year for New Years gathering?

Lynn, yes I was at that NY's in Cooke. h2otoyz and I built pretty much the same sleds that year. The strokers ran pretty well once we got those monster carbs figured out. I had some issues with motor mounts and clearing that cooler at the back of the bulkhead, but other than that it was a pretty good sled. I ended up selling it to a guy from Edmonton. Never really heard what kind of luck he had with it. I've been chasing that chassis feel for years and think I finally found it in my new Pro.
