Default Fastrax rear bumper for polaris PRO

As we all know the stock polaris rear bumpers on the PRO is well JUNK!!!!

There are a lot of different companies making inserts and such for the carbon piece. However that doesn't solve the entire issue and the mounts are also a weak point of the design.

After having Fastrax/Cobe stuff on my dragon, and seeing the quality in the parts and innovative designing, it was a no brainer to call Curt @ Fastrax and get a rear bumper coming for the PRO ASAP.

I believe they offer it in black seen here, and polished alumin., however i'm sure with some lead time and calling them they could PC some different colors for you.
It comes disassembled and includes:
2 side plates
2 rear cross bars (one smaller diameter than other)
hardware kit
instructions

Installing this thing could not be easier.

Remove stock bumper from the tunnel. Need a 10 mm wrench and a t30 bit or driver. Also have to remove the reflector on the tunnel for the 155 unsure on the 163. goof off works good to get the adhesive off. But do it before you install. I had to take mine back apart and i forgot.. hahah.

Then put the parts together as shown in diagram, Place a little blue loctite on fasteners, leave the fasteners a little loose so it can be placed over the tunnel and moved into position.

Once in place on the rear of the tunnel you will see the holes that is needed to be drilled. I used a buddy to hold everything in place, if you dont have a friend close bye or dont want the wife to find out you bought more sled parts invest in a couple irwin clamps . Drill the needed holes (using this method you must be careful to not scratch the PC, if your worried mark the holes and remove bumper and then drill)

Install the last of the fasteners to the bracket into the tunnel. Then don't forget to tighten everything else up.

Go to fridge, grab a beer, crack beer, have a drink, admire how good it looks and how well its going to work when your buddies are pulling on it when you are stuck. Last get camera or cell phone, take picture, post to BCR

XC you should..

Ohh and a review since this is in the review section.

I got stuck plenty of times this last weekend.

Feels very solid (not going to bend this bad boy)
Looks great
The bar which you grab to lift is higher than the stock location, making it a little easier to reach for lifting.
The bottom small bar is a little ingenious deal, whether by design or accident, it prevents the snowflap from coming around and stopping you from getting a whole handed grip on the grab bar. VERY NICE

That is one sweet bumper. How much was it? I found it on Cobe's website, but not for sale, it redirects you to Fastrax's site --but then the bumper is not onthe site. Any idea how much the bumper goes for?

I spoke to Dave at Fastrax, real nice people there. I've got one of these on it's way to me for $114 shipped. I got the pc'd black version. I'll post up a pic once it's installed. Thx for the tip on this awesome bumper.
